Sun always shines - Beinn a Bhuird

Even a good stability snowpack still can have interesting layers. Here the dry surface layer is clearly evident obscuring part of the Garry Walton crystal card, sitting on (and well bonded to) a melt freeze crust.

Looking SSW from about 1000m whilst following the Altan na Beinne burn to the Beinn a Bhuird plateau.

Looks fantastic.....the icy surface meant the downhill photos had to be censored for personal egos!
