- There were some breaks in passing rain showers, looking towards Macdui
south-east towards Lochnagar

- Less cloud, less snow than a few days ago from same photo spot. Several pairs of Adam Watson's grouse sighted during the day.

- Good Friday but became increasingly damp. Met three wise men (you know who you are) paying their dues for good days past & future. A little more visibility into the coire.

- There were a few breaks in the clouds to give partial views of Glas Maol & Coire Fionn, Carn an Tuirc, Lochnagar and Beinn a'Bhuird. Even saw some ski tracks going into heather.

- That's as good as visibility got around Lochangar today.

- Deep snow are probably what caused this group to require a rescue. Thanks to RAF Rescue and Braemar Mountain Rescue team for rescuing the group who were storm bound near Derry Cairngorm. We are very fortunate to have this service.

- This photo shows about 250 years, give or take a decade or so, of avalanche experience. Scotlands first avalanche forecasters were probably game keepers advising hill walkers about conditions. We had an intersting recorded conversation about avalanches and experience going back a long while. It's good to remember and learn from those who went in earlier days. Thanks gentlemen.
