It was disappointing to see how much snow we had lost overnight but as the the freezing level was dropping during the day the thaw rate will slow. It has become patchy, but the corrie's and higher plateau areas are still holding up.
Sam at a very windy and wet pit site. We recorded a layer of slush within the snow, the first this season.
The old snow is still holding firm.
